Kentucky 4-H believes that all youth should have opportunities for positive youth development in our four guiding concepts: mastery, belonging, independence, and generosity. The Kentucky 4-H Shooting Sports program prides itself on providing a safe environment for youth to learn and grow in. Below are the KY 4-H Shooting Sports Education Rules and Policy Statement along with additional safety guidelines and best practices.
Rules and Policies
- Kentucky 4-H State Shooting Sports Education Rules – Program Year 2022 Revisions Denoted in BOLD
The Kentucky 4-H State Shooting Sports Education Rules are to be followed at all times during any sanctioned 4-H shooting sports practice or competitive shoot. The State Committee reviews these rules annually. Rule change suggestions will be accepted once per year after the State Competition in the fall. Further details regarding this will be communicated to county agents at the designated time.
Participate in rifle, pistol, and trap with local practices and regional and state opportunities to compete.
